The Center for Pediatric Therapies in Danville is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitation services to children. This role requires assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and working with a team of professionals to ensure children's needs are met.
Qualified candidates will have graduated from an accredited school, hold a current Virginia license as a Physical Therapist, and possess CPR certification. Experience in pediatric therapy is preferred but not required.
The Center for Pediatric Therapies (CPT) is a full service rehabilitation clinic serving children from birth through age 21 in Southside Virginia. CPT offers a multidisciplinary approach to treat a variety of neurological, orthopedic, and developmental disorders. Our services are delivered in the most appropriate environment for the child, whether that is in the home, daycare, school, or one of our kid-friendly outpatient clinics in Danville, Lynchburg, South Boston or Martinsville, Virginia.
The Pediatric Physical Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes; providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Physical Therapist will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Physical Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patient’s condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate speech therapy method. The PT works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including OTs, SLPs, and teachers.
