Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services, Inc. in New York is seeking a Physical Therapist to deliver pediatric physical therapy services, including home- and community-based sessions.

You will work with infants and toddlers, follow IFSP goals, coach families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. The role offers a flexible schedule, competitive rates based on experience, and sign-on incentives.

Qualifications

• New York Physical Therapy (PT) license required.
• Early Intervention Experience or equivalent experience preferred.
• Pediatric experience is preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Physical Therapy services and consult with family members and other professionals.
• Follow IFSP and develop methodologies to reach each child’s developmental goals.
• Coach family members and caregivers on intervention strategies for home and community settings.
• Deliver services in homes, daycare centers, or other community settings.
• Ensure progress is generalized and caregivers participate actively.
• Prepare progress reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of information per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide Physical Therapy services and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family.
• Follow Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s specific developmental goals
• Coach family members and caregivers on various intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over in both home and at community settings
• Provide services in diverse settings such as homes, daycare centers, and/or other community settings
• Ensure that progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in intervention through addressing specific goals, coaching sessions, and communication with the entire team
• Prepare progress reports
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• New York Physical Therapy (PT) license
• Early Intervention Experience OR Equivalent Experience
• Pediatric Experience(preferred)
• Home Based Service Delivery Experience (preferred)
• Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills
