Qualifications

• 2 years of phlebotomy experience including venipuncture on newborns through adolescent age groups
• CPR certification or equivalent preferred
• 1 year of experience in a pediatric hospital preferred

Responsibilities

• Collects laboratory specimens properly and safely from patients newborn through age 21 using excellent customer service skills.
• Performs blood collection procedures for a variety of tests and follows department policies.
• Performs sweat collections according to standards.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy as required by law.
• Identifies patient using two identifiers and ensures age-appropriate communication.
• Engages in Lean culture by promoting efficient processes and continuous improvement.
