Job summary

Responsibilities include performing CLIA-limited testing, assisting with inventory, data entry, and supporting the Billing and other business functions as needed. Excellent communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in phlebotomy or related laboratory function.
• Basic computer skills including experience using computer software applications.
• Keyboarding and typing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good listening skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Verifies positive patient identification to ensure patient safety.
• Performs Venipuncture and collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients per protocol.
• Ensures proper labeling and handling of specimens for testing; resolves identification and requisition problems.
• Performs limited testing under CLIA 1988 guidelines per policies and procedures.
• Assists with inventory, data entry, and support for Billing and other functions.
• Accepts, packages, tracks, and processes specimens for testing and transport.
