Job summary

Child Health Associates in Auburn, MA is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our pediatric laboratory team. This full-time role goes beyond drawing blood, with opportunities to learn and perform approved lab tests and support daily operations.

You’ll work with children and families to create a calm blood-draw experience, handle specimens, label correctly, and follow safety procedures. Candidates should have venipuncture skills and a patient-first approach.

Qualifications

• Hands-on phlebotomy experience required.
• Strong venipuncture skills required.
• Comfortable performing blood draws with children and adolescents.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, but not required.
• Experience in a physician office, outpatient laboratory, hospital, or similar setting preferred.
• Willingness to learn additional laboratory procedures and testing.
• Ability to stay organized and accurate in a busy lab.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood collection on pediatric patients.
• Create a calm and positive blood-draw experience for infants, children, and adolescents.
• Accurately label and handle specimens and follow collection procedures.
• Operate laboratory equipment and perform approved lab tests after training.
• Document and report laboratory results accurately.
• Assist with day-to-day laboratory operations and inventory.
