Family Health West in Fruita, Colorado is seeking a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our caring team. You will collect blood samples, label properly, and ensure patient safety while delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• 1 year related experience required; pediatric blood collection experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples with proper patient identification and labeling.
• Maintain reliable, punctual attendance and professional communication.
• Transport and deliver samples to the laboratory as per procedures.
• Operate Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Mentor new staff and students; provide education as needed.
• Pack, ship, and prepare specimens for reference labs.
• Answer phones and provide general customer service.
• Ability to float to Hospital, Redlands, or Fruita offices for coverage.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and perform required physical tasks.
