Job summary

Family Health West is hiring a phlebotomist to join our Fruita, CO lab team. You will collect blood samples, ensure patient identification, and maintain sample integrity while delivering friendly, quality care in a community hospital setting.

The role requires at least 1 year of related experience, pediatric collection experience, and phlebotomy certification if possible. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• 1 year related experience required; pediatric blood collection experience.
• Completion of approved phlebotomy training course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood samples ensuring proper patient identification and labeling.
• Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; at scheduled days.
• Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
• Follows hospital policies for transporting/delivering samples to the laboratory.
• Operates Laboratory Information System (LIS).
