Job summary

Join the pharmacy team at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.

You will support pharmacists and clinical teams in preparing, dispensing and delivering medications for pediatric patients, with full training provided in sterile and non-sterile compounding and cleanroom competency. Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA is required.
• Open to candidates with less than 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with laws and hospital policies.
• Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
