CHOC Children's in Orange, California, is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to work on a part-time basis. The technician will be responsible for preparing medications, compounding, and maintaining inventory records, all while working under the supervision of pharmacists.

The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma, along with a valid California Pharmacy Technician License, and will have a minimum of six weeks of training or experience in a pharmacy setting. Join our mission to provide exceptional care to pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum six weeks of Pharmacy externship training or one year of inpatient/outpatient Pharmacy experience.
• California Pharmacy Technician License is required.
• Preferred: Certified Compounding Sterile Preparation (CSPT); Pharmacy Technician Board Certification (CPhT).

Responsabilités

• Prepares medications pursuant to physician orders.
• Performs sterile and non-sterile compounding.
• Maintains appropriate records and documentation.

Connaissances

Knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding (sterile and non-sterile)

Proficiency in pharmaceutical math calculations

Clear verbal and written communication skills

Formation

High School Diploma/GED

Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technology
