Responsibilities

  • Prepares medication and IVs, fills orders, and refills accurately.
  • Processes orders safely, prioritizing needs and labeling appropriately.
  • Fills emergency and stat orders promptly.
  • Handles controlled substances duties and investigates discrepancies.
  • Communicates issues with staff pharmacists to ensure patient care.
  • Maintains clean storage areas and checks expiration dates.
  • Performs sterile and non-sterile medication processing procedures.
  • Documents fill lists and assists with inventory control.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
