Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to gain pediatric hospital pharmacy experience under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

The role supports the medication use process and delivers comprehensive pharmacy services from neonate to young adulthood at multiple locations. As a PRN pharmacist-intern, you will assist in dispensing, medication reconciliation, drug information, and collaboration with inpatient teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and in good standing at a school or college of pharmacy.
• Previous experience working as a pharmacy technician in an acute care or outpatient setting.
• Current licensure as a Pharmacy Intern or Graduate Intern with Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing, labeling, and dispensing medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Delivers meds to patient areas and restocks cabinets per guidelines.
• Processes orders and ensures correct dose, route, and substitutions.
• Interacts with medical staff to resolve drug therapy issues.
• Completes medication reconciliation and documents ADRs as needed.
• Performs quality improvement activities and maintains safety standards.
