Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a Cardiovascular Perfusionist to set up and operate extracorporeal circuits, including ECMO and ventricular assist devices, with 24/7 coverage. The role requires PA licensure on hire and knowledge of perfusion protocols. Collaboration with engineering and clinical teams is essential.

Education includes perfusion certification and a bachelor’s degree in perfusion or related science. Experience in pediatric surgery and ECMO is preferred.

Formación

• Certificate perfusion required.

Responsabilidades

• Provides all types of extracorporeal circulation in the hospital, with 24/7 availability and rapid response.
• Maintains perfusion circuit assembly for CPB, ECMO, and ventricular assist devices.
• Collaborates with Biomedical Engineering to ensure safety standards of perfusion equipment.
• Keeps up-to-date with perfusion practices through meetings and journals.
