Job summary

Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI seeks a Pediatric Site/Office Coordinator to assist with daily non-clinical patient operations, including scheduling, registration, referrals and ambulatory workflows for pediatric patients and their caregivers.

The role collaborates with site leadership to continuously improve patient workflows, documents interactions in the medical record, and supports outreach and customer service across phone and portal channels within the Brown University Health

Qualifications

Has knowledge of medical insurance and benefits including referrals.
At least three years of experience directly related to the general practice operations of an ambulatory or outpatient medical practice.
Proficient in electronic medical records and other computer systems required.
Familiarity with medical office procedures and terminology.

Responsibilities

Oversee patient scheduling, registration and ambulatory workflows for pediatric patients.
Greet patients, support registration functions including referrals and scheduling.
Document patient contact in the medical record and manage outreach via portal messages.
Assist with letters, forms, questionnaires, referrals, and obtaining documents from specialists.
Coordinate with site leadership to continuously improve patient workflows and experience.
