University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Stead Family Children’s Hospital in Iowa City. This 36 hours per week, part-time role supports nursing staff under the Nurse Manager’s supervision.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, aseptic care, basic diagnostic tasks, and patient comfort measures. Eligible benefits include paid vacation, health/dental/life/disability insurance, and retirement contributions.

Formación

• Must be able to read, write and follow instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Record and monitor vital signs (temp, pulse, respiration, BP).
• Assist with phlebotomy, IV removal, and catheter care as directed.
• Assist with basic diagnostic/therapeutic tasks and wound/dressings.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Support personal hygiene and comfort for patients.
• Assist with ambulation, transport, and feeding.
• Stock and prepare equipment and supplies for procedures.
