Shriners Children's Chicago is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Assistant for our Inpatient Unit. The PCA will assist with direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a pediatric setting.

The role requires a CNA credential, CPR certification, and at least one year of pediatric experience. Part-time schedule is 48 hours bi-weekly, with morning shifts and weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CNA certification.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• At least 1 year of pediatric patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering patient care under RN supervision.
• Provide direct patient care and perform routine tasks as assigned.
• Demonstrate caring and professional interactions with patients and families.
• Assist with wound and skin care; keep unit stocked.
• Provide delegated nursing care activities as appropriate.
