Job summary

Shriners Children’s Chicago is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Assistant to join our Inpatient Unit, delivering compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients under RN supervision. This 0.6 FTE role works 6:00 am–2:30 pm, 48 hours bi-weekly, with every other weekend and holiday rotations.

Requirements include CNA, CPR, HS diploma/GED, and at least one year of pediatric experience. Salary range listed: $18.65–$27.98 per hour, with compensation based on experience and equity within the

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Minimum of 1 year pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in delivery of patient care under RN supervision.
• Provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned.
• Demonstrates compassionate, patient- and family-centered interactions.
• Assists with wound care, keeps unit stocked, and supports delegated nursing activities.
