Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing or an Associate Degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement.
• Must be currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN.
• Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• 9 months of professional nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Uses appropriate evidence-based assessment and interviewing techniques for ambulatory care nursing.
• Develops and updates an individualized plan for health promotion and related concerns.
• Prioritizes interventions and implements the care plan with patient, family, and care team promptly.
• Reevaluation and follow-up of care delivered based on patient needs or requests.
• Incorporates family and caregiver understanding into the plan of care.
• Revises diagnoses and outcomes based on ongoing reassessment data.
