Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital West Campus in Houston is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Outpatient Otolaryngology Clinic at The West Campus. You will provide direct and telephone nursing care, health teaching, patient advocacy, supervision and coordination of care for patients outside the ambulatory setting in an age-appropriate manner.

Qualified candidates will hold a BSN or ADN with BSN pathway enrollment, Texas RN licensure (or NLC), BLS certification, and at least 9 months of nursing

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN with BSN pathway enrollment or technical diploma with BSN enrollment toward MSN
• Current licensure with the Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• 9 months of professional nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and telephone nursing care
• Coordinates care with patients, families, and other health care professionals
• Delivers health teaching and advocacy for patients
• Performs ambulatory-care nursing assessments and plans
• Reevaluates care and adjusts plans as needed
