Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Outpatient Physical Therapist for a part-time, as-needed weekday role. The therapist will evaluate, treat, and discharge pediatric patients, coordinating with families and the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

The position requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, state licensure, and BLS certification, with prior pediatric outpatient experience preferred. On-site work with weekday coverage and clinical collaboration ensues.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Previous pediatric outpatient experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician referrals and completes musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and/or integumentary evaluations.
• Establishes and implements a plan of care; monitors outcomes and adjusts as needed; communicates with physicians and team.
• Completes discharge planning with home programs and family education; coordinates community resources.
• Completes all required documentation per policy including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• May supervise PT assistants and rehab aides, ensuring safety and infection control.
