Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA)
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in IL
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

Responsibilities

• Transfers patients with assistance from bed, chair or floor; apply safe body mechanics.
• Designs and adapts a plan of care with goals, treatment, outcomes and discharge plan.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates findings to determine OT diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Completes examinations and selects reliable methods relevant to chief complaint and history.
• Documents evaluations and plans of care per department policy.
• Participates in annual education for Hip and Knee Replacement program requirements.
• Communicates progress and treatment recommendations to referring providers.
