Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Technical Degree or Diploma Medical Assistant preferred.
• 3–5 years Medical Assistant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively assist patients during visits and accompany to exam rooms.
• Handle clerical tasks: scheduling, exam prep, lab callbacks, prior authorizations, and paperwork.
• Record patient data: vitals, history, allergies, and meds in EMR.
• Assist with physical exams preparations as needed.
• Perform EKGs, suture/staple removal, and dressing changes as directed.
• Collect specimens for lab analysis and assist with patient positioning.
• Administer medications and vaccines under physician direction.
• May authorize prescription refills in coordination with provider.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms between visits to maintain infection control.
• Order and stock supplies for exam rooms and clinics.
• Provide patient education under physician supervision.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
