Job summary

DV Therapy Learning Center in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our clinic-based multidisciplinary team. You will design and lead therapy programs to support development and rehabilitation for individuals with mental, physical, or emotional challenges.

We value evidence-based care and positive impact on patients and families. The role involves direct patient care, supervision of COTAs, and collaboration with diverse specialists in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Active OT license in California (CA)
• Master’s degree from an accredited OT program
• CPR certification and annual TB skin test

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Lead and organize occupational therapy programs for patients.
• Provide home programming and educate families.
• Recommend environmental modifications at work or home.
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain patient records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).
• Conduct training on therapy techniques for staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
• Participate in meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support research and community education projects.
