Job summary

The University of Maryland OTO-HNS is seeking a board certified or eligible Pediatric Otolaryngologist to join their Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. This full-time position focuses on a broad range of pediatric otolaryngologic conditions, particularly airway disorders in infants and children.

The successful candidate will manage complex cases in the level IV neonatal intensive care unit, work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and engage in both teaching and research activities. A commitment to exceptional patient care and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be board certified or eligible in pediatric otolaryngology.
  • Eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland.
  • Expected rank will be Assistant Professor or higher.

Job description

[Pediatric Otolaryngologist] (03-302-040): The Department of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting for board certified or board eligible, full‑time, academic Pediatric Otolaryngologist concentrated on the full spectrum of pediatric otolaryngologic conditions including airway disorders in infants and children. Aerodigestive and voice experience are desirable.

Responsibilities include managing the full spectrum of pediatric otolaryngologic conditions, including airway disorders in infants and children, and providing care at the University of Maryland Medical Center level IV neonatal intensive care unit. Candidates will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in teaching and research activities.

Qualifications

Candidates must be board certified or eligible in pediatric otolaryngology and eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland. The position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), a strong commitment to patient care and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting. Expected rank will be Assistant Professor or higher, with final rank and tenure determined by experience.

Compensation

Expected compensation range: $350,000 to $450,000, depending on rank and experience. This range reflects base pay and does not include all components of the department faculty compensation program or pay from participation in variable compensation programs. The actual compensation may vary based on multiple factors, including geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education, training, and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
