Job summary

TCH Medical Center seeks an Occupational Therapist to plan, evaluate, organize, and implement therapy programs in a developmentally appropriate manner. You will work in a fast-paced setting and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include patient evaluations, developing plans of care, setting measurable goals, documenting in the EMR, and ensuring family education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy required.
• OT certification required.
• 2 years’ pediatric and/or clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient evaluations and reassessments per hospital guidelines.
• Develop an individualized plan of care based on evaluation findings.
• Develop measurable long-term and short-term goals.
• Manage the schedule to maintain productivity expectations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team for patient care.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions.
• Recommend adaptive equipment or termination of treatment when appropriate.
• Assess patient and family education needs and teach home treatment programs.
• Document patient information in the EMR.
