Job summary

Mercy Medical Center seeks an Occupational Therapist to support Mercy Home Care in the Cedar Rapids area. The role focuses on pediatric specialty skills, sensory processing therapies, and validating independence in daily activities across the lifespan.

You will perform evaluations, develop and provide treatment plans, document services, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or eligible for Iowa licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Mercy Home Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with established standards of care.
• Plans and provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate.
• Completes all documentation of services per department standards.
• Communicates with nursing staff and physicians regarding patient progress and discharge status.
• Supervises COTA treatments and documentation.
