Job summary

Creative Speech Solutions, LLC, a pediatric therapy center in Summit, NJ, is hiring full-time and part-time Occupational Therapists to join our growing team. Therapists will evaluate and provide direct therapy for children in school-based and clinic-based settings based on candidate preference, with sessions conducted one-on-one or in groups.

Responsibilities include notes, evaluations, report writing, IEP collaboration, and home exercise programs for caretakers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• NBCOT certification and maintenance of registration.
• NJ State License and NJ BOE School Certificate.
• Minimum of two years of work experience in pediatric private practice or school setting preferred.
• Experience with sensory processing disorders, motor planning difficulties, gross/fine motor skills, and visual-motor skills.
• Certification or CE in Listening Program, Handwriting Without Tears, Visual Processing disorders, or splints.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; desire to work with children with developmental disabilities.
• Patience, persistence and ability to work independently as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluations and direct therapy for the pediatric population.
• Treat children in school-based and/or clinic-based settings based on candidate preference.
• Write daily notes, progress notes, evaluations, and reports.
• Engage in treatment collaboration, case management, and IEP development.
• Develop home exercise programs and counsel caretakers.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, school therapists, and teachers.
• For full-time, a minimum of two evening hours in office.
