Job summary

TEAMability is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services to children with physical, neurological, and developmental challenges. You will work with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to help each child reach their highest level of independence and function.

The role involves evaluating, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans with physician approval, and delivering pediatric occupational therapy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Eligible for or licensed by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
• Minimum of 2 years pediatric experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and maneuver patients safely.
• Strong documentation, communication and time management skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations using standardized tools and accepted assessment methods.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with physician approval.
• Provide occupational therapy for pediatric patients with various physical dysfunctions.
• Monitor patient safety and equipment during therapy sessions.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, summaries, and re-evaluations accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families regarding progress and needs.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and students, ensuring compliance with documentation and treatment standards.
• Participate in team conferences, staff meetings, and contribute to program development.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Educate families, staff, and the public about occupational therapy practices.
