Job summary

Cortica in California is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary healthcare team. The role focuses on promoting independence in daily living activities for children with neurodevelopmental differences, within a pediatric setting.

You will work with staff to implement OT programs, gather data on student goals, and collaborate with families to plan effective client-centered plans.

Qualifications

• Must hold a California OTA license.
• 1 year pediatrics or autism experience.
• Proficient with EMR and MS Office.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence in daily living activities through problem solving and observation.
• Observe and suggest positioning techniques to enhance participation and function.
• Consult and assist staff by sharing information at team meetings.
• Use task analysis to recommend techniques for feeding and ADLs.
• Implement OT program prescribed by the occupational therapist based on goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to plan and implement client programs.
• Assist OTA in tracking progress by collecting data on goals.
• Help therapist formulate new goals from data analysis.
