Children's National Hospital seeks an Orthopedic Support Technician to provide specialized technical assistance within the Orthopedics division. Responsibilities include applying casts and traction, assisting residents and nurses, and ensuring proper documentation and patient communication.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years in Orthopedics, plus active NAOT membership with NB certification. Competitive benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience in Orthopedics or related field.
• Active NAOT member with NB credential (180 days).

Responsabilidades

• Assist with casting, splinting and traction techniques.
• Assist with application and removal of basic and specialized bracing and casts on wards, clinic and OR.
• Apply, modify and dismantle traction equipment.
• Complete rounds as required.
• Complete service and supply charge forms.
• Maintain supplies and inventory in designated areas.
• Provide patient education and communication to patients and families.
• Speak up for safety and ensure accurate documentation.
