Job summary

Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital in Northern Virginia seeks a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon to join a growing program. The role offers a comprehensive pediatric specialty platform with opportunities for leadership, teaching, and research in a nationally recognized health system.

The successful candidate will join a nine-physician group providing advanced care across spine, deformity, trauma, sports medicine, and neuro-orthopedics. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited institution
• Board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
• Completion of Pediatric Orthopedic fellowship
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in Virginia
• BLS certification at start
• Ability to credential with CMS and third-party payors
• Successful credentialing for Medical Staff membership and privileges

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage pediatric orthopedic conditions.
• Participate in call rotations and trauma surgical management with supervision of residents.
• Order or perform diagnostic tests and write routine orders for labs and imaging.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and perform surgical or noninvasive procedures.
• Create postoperative care plans and coordinate patient care across services.
