Job summary
Nemours Children's Health seeks a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider team in Bel Air, MD. The role works within an interdisciplinary team to care for pediatric patients, with initial training at the Wilmington, DE hospital before transitioning to Bel Air.
Ideal candidates possess pediatric orthopedic experience, active PA/NP licensure, and strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- Current NCCPA certification as PA.
- (PA) certification in pediatric nursing is preferred.
- Active DE license or compact-state licensure for PA/NP.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations.
- 1. Develop assessment and treatment plans for pediatric patients.
- 2. Order diagnostic tests and perform procedures such as pin removal, suturing, and casting.
- 3. Provide joint injections/aspiration and fracture reduction.
- 4. Educate parents on condition and care plan.
- 5. Triage calls and coordinate care with physicians.
