Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join our pediatric orthopedic outreach clinic in Medford, Oregon. This 0.75 FTE position offers an outstanding opportunity to provide specialized orthopedic care to children in Southern Oregon while working with a dedicated pediatric orthopedic team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of advanced practice experience.
• Prior experience in orthopedics or pediatric orthopedics preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and family-centered care mindset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive and age-appropriate health assessments, histories, and physical exams.
• Formulate differential diagnoses and develop care plans in coordination with supervising physicians.
• Manage care for orthopedic, spinal, and neuromuscular pediatric patients.
• Provide pre‑operative and post‑operative evaluations and ongoing management.
• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests.
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions per scope of practice.
• Educate patients, caregivers and staff on disease processes and home care strategies.
• Document findings and patient responses in the EHR.
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and research initiatives.
