Job summary

Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore is seeking an assistant professor to support the pediatric orthopaedic surgery service. The role includes clinical coverage four days per week, with duties spanning consults, perioperative care, and rounds, under the direction of the division chief.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Medicine.
• Board certified/board eligible orthopaedic surgeon.
• Must be eligible for licensure in Maryland.
• Fellowship trained in orthopaedic pediatric surgery.
• Able to obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.

Responsibilities

• Clinical duties: support pediatric orthopaedic surgery service call; clinical 4 days/week; assist with consults, pre-/post-op ambulatory care, bedside procedures and rounds.
• General Academic and Teaching: instruct medical students, residents and fellows; participate in operative teaching and division conferences; attend national conferences; contribute to scholarly output.
• Research: dedicate time to research activities, leveraging existing and future grant funding.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine
