Chief of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery

The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Johns Hopkins Children’s Center invite applications and nominations for the position of Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. We seek an accomplished, collaborative academic pediatric orthopedic surgeon to lead and further develop a nationally recognized program in clinical care, education, research, and innovation.

The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership for pediatric orthopedic services across Johns Hopkins Medicine, while expanding the program’s regional and national reach. The Chief will work closely with pediatric surgical, medical, and rehabilitation specialists to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for children with the full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions. The position offers significant opportunities to recruit and mentor faculty, strengthen fellowship and resident education, advance clinical and translational research, and develop new programs throughout the Johns Hopkins regional network.

Candidates should have an outstanding record of clinical excellence, academic achievement, leadership, mentorship, and program development. Applicants must be board-certified in orthopedic surgery, have completed fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics, and be eligible for medical licensure in Maryland. Academic appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and accomplishments.
