Job summary

Great Expressions Dental Centers seeks an energetic Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced practice. Orthodontic experience is required; pediatric experience is preferred and training is provided.

You will support clinicians, prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, and educate patients on oral hygiene. Responsibilities include assisting during procedures, managing patient records, and scheduling appointments.

Qualifications

• Orthodontic dental assistant experience required.
• Pediatric dental assistant experience preferred but training provided.
• Willing to train the right candidate.
• Florida EFDA certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays) required.

Position Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

What We’re Looking For:

• Orthodontic Dental Assistant experience is required.
• Pediatric Dental Assistant experience is preferred but not required - we are happy to provide training.

Please note: While we are willing to train on the pediatric side, candidates must have prior orthodontic dental assisting experience.

Requirements:

Before applying, it is imperative that you meet the state requirements outlined below.

• Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays).
• Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
• Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it.
• New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
• New York: Not applicable.
• Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
• Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
