Job summary

Lone Peak Dental Group is seeking a caring Orthodontic Assistant to join a pediatric specialty practice in Mesa, AZ. The role involves supporting orthodontists, preparing rooms, taking X-rays, and ensuring a positive, kid‑friendly patient experience.

Ideal candidates will have X-ray/CPR certification, 1 year ortho experience preferred, and may have completed an accredited orthodontic assistant program. Denticon or iTero experience is a plus, with some Saturdays required.

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice preferred.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X‑rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow‑up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and a kid‑friendly environment.
