Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Boston, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and holds BLS and PALS certifications.

Pediatric OR Travel Nurses will support the operating room team, assist with patient positioning, manage care per hospital policy, document history and vitals, and monitor anesthesia-related signs. The assignment is 13 weeks with 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience
• BLS and PALS certifications required for Pediatric OR travel role
• Pediatric OR travel nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving and positioning of patient
• Manage care of patient in the OR according to hospital policy
• Ensure all patient paperwork is completed prior to procedure
• Watch for signs and symptoms of impaired gas exchange related to anesthesia
• Remain by the patient's side until anesthesia has been successfully induced
