Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Pediatric Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Waltham, MA. You will support perioperative care, prepare the OR, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety.

The role requires one year of pediatric OR experience, an RN license, and BLS; PALS/ENPC are also required. Benefits include comprehensive insurance, PTO after 1560 hours, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• One year's recent experience as a Pediatric Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current PALS or ENPC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment and sterile supplies for procedures.
• Assists in positioning patients for surgery and ensures comfort and safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Anticipates team needs and provides instruments, supplies, and support.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and notifies the surgeon of changes.
• Handles surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring proper use and disposal.
• Manages specimen collection, labeling and transport according to protocols.
• Documents patient care in the perioperative setting accurately.
• Participates in handoff communication before/after surgery.
• Cleans and restocks the OR between cases per protocols.
• Follows hospital safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice.
