Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Needham, Massachusetts. The position runs for 13 weeks with 40 hours per week, 10-hour days, travel employment. Requires 1-2 years of acute care experience, BLS and PALS.

Responsibilities include assisting with OR procedures, patient positioning, documenting history, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period.

Qualifications

• RN with pediatric OR experience or operating room background.
• At least 1 year of acute care experience.
• BLS and PALS required; additional certifications may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving and positioning of patient in the OR.
• Ensure all patient paperwork is completed prior to procedure.
• Monitor vital signs and watch for signs of impaired gas exchange.
• Provide patient care and support under anesthesia throughout the procedure.
