Job summary

Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women in Houston seeks a Surgical Technologist II to support operations in the OR. You will handle instruments, supplies, and equipment, assisting physicians while performing patient care duties in an age-appropriate manner as assigned by the circulating nurse.

The role requires completion of an educational program for surgical technologists, CST-SUR certification, NCCT certification, and at least 2 years of experience with multiple surgical specialties.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a surgical technologist.
• Experience in two or more surgical specialties.
• Certification: CST-SUR (NBSTSA) and NCCT per program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care related duties in the operating room.
• Prepares and assists with OR setup according to patient age and procedure.
• Maintains instrument and supply counts accurately.
• Attends continuing education to support professional development.
• Ensures safe handling of medications within sterile field.
