Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks a registered nurse with OR experience to join our orthopedic service area.

This full-time role supports patient care from assessment through discharge, with on-call and holiday rotations and a 6:45am start. Minimum requirements include RN licensure and a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree; a BSN is preferred with less than two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required.
• RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops and documents care plans with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Assesses and evaluates physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
