Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Pediatric OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Saint Louis, MO. The role supports the perioperative team, maintains a sterile field, and ensures patient safety throughout procedures.

Required qualifications include 1 year of pediatric OR RN experience, an active RN license, BLS, and PALS or ENPC. Preferred extras include ACLS and CNOR. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year's recent experience as a Pediatric Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current PALS or ENPC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and ensures instruments and sterile supplies are ready.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery ensuring safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies promptly.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and communicates significant changes.
• Handles surgical instruments, sterilization, and disposal per protocols.
• Manages specimen collection, labeling, and transport.
• Documents all perioperative patient care thoroughly.
• Participates in patient handoffs pre- and post-operatively.
• Assists in cleaning/restocking the OR between cases and adheres to turnover protocols.
• Collaborates to ensure policy and safety compliance.
