Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY is seeking a Patient Assistant for the Pediatric Operating Room during the mid shift. You will support the nursing team by maintaining a safe, clean patient environment and assisting with patient care under supervision.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 11:30am–8:00pm; a High School diploma or GED and BCLS certification are required, with Nurse’s Aide or equivalent experience preferred. On-site with benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BCLS certification according to the American Heart Association.
• Experience as Nurse’s Aide or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provides and maintains a safe, neat, and clean patient environment.
• Participates in patient care activities as a member of the nursing team under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintains supplies and equipment in accordance with established procedures.
