Job summary
Novant Health Coastal Region is seeking a Pediatric Ophthalmologist to diagnose, treat and manage eye conditions in children, from vision development to surgical needs like cataracts, glaucoma, and strabismus. You will perform comprehensive eye exams, vision testing, laser and microsurgery as needed, and collaborate with other specialists while communicating clearly with families.
This role offers a two-year salary guarantee, relocation assistance and CME support within a not-for-profit system
Qualifications
- Board-certified ophthalmologist with pediatric fellowship.
- Experience in vision development and pediatric eye care.
- Experience with strabismus and pediatric surgeries.
- Excellent communication with families and teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric eye exams and vision testing.
- Diagnose and treat eye diseases and alignment issues in children.
- Perform microsurgical and laser eye procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with other specialists and educate families.
- Prescribe glasses or contacts and manage devices.
