Job summary

MultiCare Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network in Tacoma/Silverdale is seeking an Ophthalmic Photographer/Technician to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging and support ophthalmology and dermatology teams. The role includes assisting physicians during patient encounters and managing outpatient procedure scheduling.

Requires certification for ophthalmic technicians, MA-R within 60 days, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant must be maintained through continuing education.
• Must obtain MA-R within 60 days of hire.
• BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete all necessary consents and documents for the medical record.
• Participate in education, records maintenance, policy updates, and skill upgrades.
• Schedule procedures for Ophthalmology and Dermatology.
• Record initial health status and vital signs per policy.
