Job summary

The Ophthalmic Photographer/Technician at MultiCare Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network provides high-quality diagnostic imaging, clinical testing, and procedures to support Ophthalmology and Dermatology. You will assist physicians during patient encounters and help manage outpatient scheduling.

Required certifications include Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant, BLS, and MA-R within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant must be maintained through continuing education.
• Must obtain MA-R within 60 days of hire.
• BLS - Basic Life Support (includes RQI) - American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of all necessary consents and documents for the medical record, utilizing hospital-approved abbreviations and following hospital charting guidelines.
• Participate in all phases of education, maintenance of records, upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills.
• Schedule procedures for Ophthalmology and Dermatology.
• Gather initial health status of patients including vital signs and documents per policy.
