Job summary

Nemours is seeking an Occupational Therapist (CASUAL/PRN) to join our Nemours Children’s Health team in Orlando, Florida. This PRN position covers pediatric settings including acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient, with training provided in other areas as needed.

Coverage may require weekend shifts and licensing in Florida. The role emphasizes pediatric OT across birth to 21 years, with opportunities to mentor students and collaborate with community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Florida State License to practice Occupational Therapy is required.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire.
• Professional membership in AOTA or FOTA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides Occupational Therapy evaluation, treatment, and consultation to pediatric patients birth to 21 years at Nemours Children’s Hospital.
• Demonstrates competency in pediatric Occupational Therapy and engages in staff development and peer review.
• Mentors affiliating occupational therapy students, new staff, and volunteers; supports clinical education.
• Keeps current with trends and research in pediatric Occupational Therapy and participates in continuing education.
• Collaborates with other departments and community partners; contributes to program development and outreach.
• Completes timely documentation in accordance with policy and regulatory standards.
• Attends team meetings and participates as an interdisciplinary team member.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy

Florida State License to practice Occupational Therapy

American Heart Association BLS Certification

AOTA/FOTA professional membership (preferred)
