Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Orlando, FL seeks a Casual/PRN Occupational Therapist to join the Therapeutic and Rehabilitation Services team. Coverage spans acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings with training across areas as needed.

The role requires pediatric OT expertise, licensure in Florida, and weekend availability. Experience with neonates is a plus; AOTA/FOTA membership is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Florida State License to practice Occupational Therapy is required.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire.
• AOTA/FOTA membership is preferred.
• Prior pediatrics experience is preferred.
• Weekends shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides Occupational Therapy evaluation, treatment, and consultation.
• Treats pediatric patients birth to 21 years old; neonatal proficiency may be required.
• Demonstrates clinical competency in pediatric OT per department standards.
• Mentors students and new staff; participates in peer review and education.
• Keeps current with trends and research in Occupational Therapy.
• Collaborates with other departments and community partners.
• Documents in accordance with policies and Joint Commission/CARF standards.
