Job summary

VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region in Rutland, VT, is seeking a per diem Pediatric Occupational Therapist for the Kids on the Move program in Franklin County. The OT will evaluate and treat clients in homes or school settings, supervise students, and ensure quality of care with proper documentation and IEP involvement.

The role requires a OT credential in Vermont, relevant pediatric experience, and ability to pass background checks; a valid driver’s license and vehicle are also required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Vermont State OT license required.
• Two years of clinical Occupational Therapy experience preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and administer pediatric occupational therapy in clients' homes or schools.
• Supervise students, COTAs and rehab aides.
• Develop care plans to promote functional independence and safety.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other rehab services.
• Document thoroughly in clinical records and complete IEP-related activities.
