Qualifications

• Licensed OT in Mississippi by hire date.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
• Knowledge of diagnosis, treatment, and rehab of physical and mental dysfunctions.
• Ability to interact with patients, families and staff.
• Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms and progress.
• Ability to motivate patients to set and achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Assess and synthesize medical data to evaluate patients’ status.
• Develop and update a plan of care with measurable goals and discharge plan.
• Use appropriate methods and materials and adapt programs as needed.
• Ensure patient and family understand information provided.
• Follow intervention protocols and discharge when goals met.
• Maintain timely patient care documentation.
• Design and train patients and families in assistive tech and devices.
• Supervise students and other medical staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare team on treatment programs.
